Meshtastic India brings the open-source Meshtastic project to Indian defence units, disaster-response agencies, expedition teams and citizen-preparedness groups — as ready-to-deploy hardware kits, with training, channel keying, ATAK integration and field support.
Built by operators who needed comms that just work.
We started building Meshtastic kits because the off-the-shelf options didn't fit Indian operating realities — from monsoon-soaked treks in the Western Ghats, to high-altitude patrols in Ladakh, to flash-flood relief in the plains. Cellular fails, satellite is expensive and slow, and licensed VHF/UHF needs paperwork most volunteer teams will never have.
Meshtastic gave us a pattern that fit all of it: a tiny LoRa radio, a few hundred milliwatts of power, channel-level encryption, and a self-healing mesh that lets every device relay for the next. We built the hardware around it — rugged cases, helmet mounts, vehicle-power harnesses, command displays — and the deployment know-how to actually field it.
Today we supply individual makers, expedition outfitters, search-and-rescue teams, NGOs working in disaster zones, and defence and paramilitary units evaluating mesh as a backbone or a fallback to existing tactical radios.

Boring is Good
An operator under stress should not be tweaking radio settings. Pre-keyed channels, single-button operation, no menus to navigate.
No Single Point of Failure
No central node, no SIM card, no internet. Every radio is identical and every radio relays — lose any one and the mesh reforms.
Encryption by Default
AES-256 channel keys are configured before a kit ships. Default-on, not opt-in.
Built for the Indian Field
Tested through monsoon, dust, +50°C heat and sub-zero cold. Cases, mounts and antennas chosen for what actually breaks in the field.
Open & Auditable
Built on open-source firmware so any signaller can audit it. No lock-in, no licence fees, no per-message billing.
People, Then Hardware
The kit is half the deliverable. The other half is a section that can deploy, troubleshoot and recover the mesh under contact.
Engineered in Greater Noida. Deployed across India.
Our integration workshop is in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Field support travels — kits have shipped to teams operating in the Himalayas, the Thar, the Sundarbans and the Andaman waters.
